Book Three in The Adventures of Marcy and Sara
Where would you go if you could go anywhere?
About the book (back cover blurb):
Stranded light-years from home, thirteen-year-olds Marcy Lynn and Sara Blue have no choice but to continue their search for the Staff of Aralon. For all they know, their twin elf firneds, Aeiin and Caeik, are already dead. However, since they’ve already risked everything so they could come to Arcadia and try anything they can to save them, on they go.
Marcy, Sara, and their travel companions have arrived in Spring on the Isle of Seasons and already have a meeting arranged with the faery queen. If everything goes well, they could get their hands on the staff soon, and then the biggest questions will be how to make it back to the palace in time to save their friends and then how will they ever make it home again?
A strange twist of fate has given them a glimpse into Morian’s plans. But what they don’t know might very well kill them! Morian has created a magical duplicate of herself, and it’s already on the way to intercept the questing party. One way or another, Morian plans to get her mole and grimoire back no matter who tries to stop her.
Author’s Note:
Picture 2011. I don’t know where you were, but I was living in Kansas after nearly 7 years in magical Oregon, working full time as a barista at a very cool coffee shop with even cooler coworkers, and raising my two kids with my husband, Dusty. We were living on a farm near a small town, taking care of my parents, and it was a great time in my life all in all. When we weren’t swimming in the pond, tending the gardens and chickens, or hanging out with friends, I found I had time to take short trips back to Arcadia with Marcy and Sara. Having terribly slow satellite internet certainly helped.
In 2012, I low-key hoped the world was going to end on Dec 21, I went through a massive spiritual shift that I call my metamorphosis, and I finished Journey to the Palace of Ice along with a ranty, madness-inspired novella called Everything Screams When You Kill It. (I will share it upon request – probably – maybe).
The world did not end on Dec 21, 2012. Life continued. The kids, paying bills, and generally getting by took over as priorities. My trilogy was complete. I couldn’t have been happier with the story telling, but having never finished more than an associates degree, I had massive amount of linguistic anxiety. I hesitated, and my writing returned to the back burner once again.
